The real ale drinkers guide to Dartmoor pubs. A Dartmoor Real Ale Trail, featuring 39 pubs on and around the moor, has been launched by local business Dartmoor Accommodation.
The brainchild of owner, Lisa Jenkins and Julian Tarrant-Boyce, the Dartmoor Real Ale Trail lists the pubs, their ales and amenities and also features a fun and informative map of the area.
“Our research has shown The Dartmoor Real Ale Trail should be popular with both local and visiting beer enthusiasts,” said Lisa. “The area has a lot of really great pubs and this map will help people ‘navigate’ their way around from one real ale pub, to another.” A self-guided trail, the
Dartmoor Real Ale Trail is intended to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace and definitely not all in one day!
Support for the new venture was evident from the outset, with 39 pubs and hotels signing up straight away. ‘Real’ ale popularity is on the increase and new micro breweries and craft beers are popping up across the west country.
The website www.dartmoorrealaletrail.co.uk features news from the participating inns and you can keep up to date with events by joining the mailing list.
