Ivybridge Town Fun Run to tackle food poverty
The Green Army from Ivybridge Town FC has helped to raise an incredible £6,000 for the award-winning Project 35 initiative, which sits under the control of the Green Army from Plymouth Argyle Community Trust.
Players and supporters from Ivybridge Town took part in the Green Army 5k Fun Run, raising funds through a variety of channels to help support Project 35, which has been recognised by the Football League as a leading community programme.
Project 35 is a social action initiative aimed at reducing poverty in Plymouth and surrounding areas, through a comprehensive campaign of fund-raising, awareness raising, social outreach, food donations, education, and charity support.
Project 35 is a comprehensive action plan, delivered by the Argyle Community Trust, comprising of community days of action, concerted appeal efforts, special community projects and partner initiatives.
Congratulations to everyone at Ivybridge Town for the money raised and for completing the 5k challenge.
