Just the three games were played in the South-West Peninsula League East Division on Saturday and Torrington finally broke a ten-game losing streak with an outstanding 1-1 draw at high-flying Cullompton Rangers.
After falling behind to trail at the break, the Super Greens fought bravely in the second period to earn a precious point thanks to an equalising goal from Liam Martin.
The other games were a continuation of winning runs for two South Devon clubs, Newton Abbot Spurs and Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police.
Newton Abbot made it four in a row with a controlled 3-1 success at home to Torridgeside, while Stoke Gabriel have recovered from a slow start to enjoy an impressive winning run, beating Honiton Town 2-0 in East Devon. Newton and Stoke meet each other in midweek.
League leaders Okehampton Argyle were on FA Vase duty and delivered a fabulous result on the road to win 1-0 at Dorset Premier outfit Sturminster, Luke Mortimore scoring the only goal from the edge of the box to complete a highly impressive all-round performances from the Okes.
Elsewhere in the Vase, Sidmouth Town briefly led Barnstaple before slipping to a 3-1 defeat and Bridport lost 2-0 at home to Hamble FC. Elburton Villa joined Okehampton in the next round with a 2-1 win at home to Petersfield.
From the West Division of Peninsula football, Bodmin Town progressed with a 3-2 win over Lydney Town but there was a heavy loss for Wendron United at Clevedon Town.
