Connor Marshall and Ross Belotti
Newton Abbot Spurs have parted company with manager Connor Marshall as they head into the second half of the South-West Peninsula League season.
The club statement said: “Following a series of open and positive discussions over several weeks between chairman Ross Belotti and first-team manager Connor Marshall, Connor has taken the decision to step down from his role, believing now is the right time for him and the club to move in different directions.
“Everyone at Newton Abbot Spurs would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Connor for his hard work, commitment and professionalism throughout his time with the club.
“Connor took on the role after a successful period for the team and under his leadership, the team consistently competed at a high level, delivered strong performances and achieved positive results, building on the club’s recent success and representing Newton Abbot Spurs with pride on and off the pitch.
“Connor is an excellent coach who is highly regarded within the club, and there is no doubt that he has a bright future in the game. He leaves with our full respect and best wishes, and we thank him for his contribution while wishing him every success in the next chapter of his football journey.”
