Emergency response teams deployed to Plymouth Hoe incident

Devon & Cornwall Police were notified of the incident on Plymouth Hoe last night (April 7)

EMERGENCY teams rushed to Plymouth Hoe on Sunday, April 7, following reports of a welfare concern for a man in the area.

Several teams, including Devon and Cornwall Police, HM Coastguard,  South Western Ambulance Service and the RNLI were sent  to deal with the situation.

Police told The Moorlander they were notified around 7.30pm on Sunday about a concern regarding the welfare of a man on Hoe Road in the city.

In response, emergency services rushed to the scene to assess and manage the situation.

After a coordinated effort, the individual in question was found and placed under the care of healthcare professionals. 

The specifics of the man's condition were not disclosed.

HM Coastguard said they provided support to the police during the incident on the rocks near the Lions Den area on Plymouth Hoe.
