The destinations were Derby for the first round of the National Trophy on Saturday and then Redruth for Round Two of the South West League on Sunday.
The evergreen Cathy Kilburn shows no signs of winding down – she finished second in the Veteran Women’s 60yrs group at Derby and then duly won the same age category at Redruth.
MDCC supplied five winners in the unusually dry conditions in Cornwall.
Matt Holmes, who finished 32nd in the Under-16 group at Derby, followed up his SW opening round win with another victory at Redruth.
