Torquay United will welcome to Weston-super-Mare to Plainmoor on Boxing Day and all the ingredients are in place for a Christmas cracker.
After surprise losses to Tonbridge and Totton, the Gulls have slipped down to fifth in the National League South table but a win over third-placed Weston would swiftly transform the festive mood.
United are expecting a virtual sell-out for the game and the atmosphere is guaranteed to be special, with manager Paul Wotton welcoming back Callum Dolan and Cody Cooke from suspension and injury.
Matt Worthington and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton are doubts for the Gulls, but there is definitely a more rounded feel about the United squad as we head into a busy festive schedule.
After the Weston visit, United are on the road to Bath City on December 30 and then a long trip to Dover to start the New Year.
