Snows Toyota Paignton closure confirmed after customer speculation

Snows Motor Group has confirmed that its Toyota dealership on Totnes Road, Paignton will close at the end of January 2026 as part of a wider restructure of its Devon operations.

This will see the company reduce the number of Toyota sites in the region from four to three.

Franchise Manager Richard Morgan said the decision followed a “careful and thorough” review of the business and stressed that customers in the Paignton area will continue to be supported.

“We are pleased to say that customers will be expertly catered for at our Plymouth and Exeter sites,” he said, adding that both locations offer sales and aftersales services and that many members of the Paignton team will be relocating to these dealerships, providing continuity for customers.

The closure comes amid growing concern over the future of dealership operations in Torbay. Earlier this week, Ocean Torbay announced it would cease trading in March 2026 due to rising costs and challenging trading conditions, affecting its MOT centre in Kingskerswell and trading site also on Totnes Road.

Mr Morgan said the closure of the Paignton site will allow Snows Motor Group to continue investing in staff, facilities, and services, including refurbishment work at the Plymouth showroom and planned improvements at Exeter later in 2026. “
