A local hospitality worker who always goes the extra mile. A small business owner who kept their team together through tough times. An apprentice who has exceeded every expectation.
If someone like that comes to mind, organisers of the Torbay Business Awards say now is the time to put their name forward.
Nominations for the 2026 awards are open until 19 April, and the process takes only a few minutes, nominees simply need a name, a contact email and a short explanation of why the person or business deserves recognition.
The awards cover 15 categories, including the Unsung Hero Award, the Inspiring Employer of the Year and the Outstanding Apprentice of the Year, all designed to recognise contributions that often go without formal acknowledgement.
Once a nomination is received, organisers contact the nominee directly and invite them to submit a full entry, meaning the person putting them forward does not need to do anything further.
Winners are revealed at a gala evening at the Riviera International Centre in Torquay on June 5.
