Devon brothers launch AI system to fight global disinformation and digital threats

Brothers Jack and Harry

Two brothers from Devon are behind a groundbreaking artificial intelligence platform designed to help governments and businesses combat disinformation, cyber threats, and geopolitical instability across the globe.

Jack and Harry Alderman, co-founders of Satorus Group, have unveiled Sidney, a world-first AI system that automates the entire open-source intelligence (OSINT) process - collecting, analysing, and delivering “decision-ready” intelligence in minutes.

The platform uses analyst-trained AI agents to monitor data across social media, news outlets, and even the dark web, dramatically accelerating the time it takes organisations to identify and respond to emerging risks.

“We grew up in Devon, where things move at a slower pace,” said Jack Alderman, Co-CEO of Satorus Group. “Now we’re building technology that moves at the speed global threats do. Sidney is what happens when you combine small-town grit with big-picture ambition.”

Raised in Devon before moving into intelligence and technology roles, the Alderman brothers co-founded Satorus alongside London-based Beth Martin-Board. Their mission is to make reliable, analyst-grade intelligence accessible to leaders who must make critical decisions in fast-changing environments.

“We’ve seen first-hand how misinformation and digital manipulation can destabilise markets and governments,” said Harry Alderman, Chief Commercial Officer. “Sidney gives organisations the clarity to act fast – because in today’s world, waiting even an hour can cost you.”

The AI-powered system is already being used to track disinformation campaigns and identify emerging threats in real time. Its agent-based design allows it to replicate human analytical reasoning at machine speed, a leap forward for intelligence automation.

“The vision started over a tennis match in Devon,” Jack added. “We wanted to build something that mattered – something that helps people make better decisions when the stakes are high. Sidney is that.”

Satorus Group is now rolling out Sidney to clients across the security, finance, and geopolitical sectors, with plans to expand globally.
