Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Hatherleigh, during which several gold and silver bars were stolen.

The burglary is reported to have occurred between Thursday 12 June and Monday 16 June.

Among the stolen items are two 1kg silver bars without packaging, seven gold bars of various sizes still in their packaging, and twenty gold sovereign coins kept in a small purple zip-up purse.

Officers have asked anyone who may have witnessed attempts to sell any of these items at pawn shops, auctioneers, jewellers, or similar venues to come forward. They also encourage those with any information that could help identify suspects to contact them.

“If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam/doorbell footage that could assist our enquiries, please contact us,” said a police spokesperson.

People can report information via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 50250152253.
