The annual Oke Energy Fest is back on Saturday, 4 October 2025, running from 10am to 3pm at the Charter Hall in Okehampton.

The free community event, organised by Tamar Energy Community (TEC), gives local residents the chance to learn more about making homes warmer, more energy efficient, and cheaper to run.

Experts will be on hand to provide free, impartial advice on everything from small energy-saving steps to larger retrofitting projects.

The aim is to help householders across Okehampton and neighbouring Dartmoor communities cut bills, improve comfort, and prepare for rising energy costs and the impacts of climate change.

The Fest will include exhibitors, information stalls and interactive displays, with organisations such as Dartmoor Energy, National Energy Action, South West Water, Devon Wildlife Trust, and Dartmoor Photographer already confirmed.

TEC says more exhibitors will be announced in the coming weeks.

Advisors from TEC will also be available throughout the day to answer questions, and visitors can take a break at the pop-up café serving tea, coffee and cake.

A spokesperson for TEC said the event is about giving local people the knowledge they need to make informed choices: “Whether you’re just starting to think about home energy or already making improvements, Oke Energy Fest is here to support you.”

For those unable to attend in Okehampton, there will be another chance to take part later in the season.

Tamar Energy Fest will be held on Saturday, 22 November 2025, from 10am to 3pm at Butchers’ Hall, Tavistock.

Both events are free and open to everyone.
