Forward Crago made his 500th appearence against Willand Credit- Tavistock AFC/Dave Crawford
Tavistock AFC forward Jack Crago has reached a major milestone, playing his 500th game for the club, known as the Lambs.
A player whose name has become synonymous with hard work, loyalty, and goals, Crago has been central to Tavistock’s rise in recent years.
Crago first pulled on the Tavistock shirt as a teenager and has gone on to enjoy a remarkable career across the South West non-league scene.
He has previously played for Plymouth Parkway, Helston Athletic, Tiverton Town and Truro City, but it is at Crowndale that he has really made a name for himself.

Known for his aerial ability and knack for scoring important goals, Crago has consistently delivered on the pitch.
For Plymouth Parkway, he hit 55 goals in 135 appearances, and even during a short loan at Helston Athletic he rattled in 17 goals in just 28 games. Back in Tavistock colours, he has been a talisman, helping the Lambs to trophies and memorable FA Cup runs.
Manager Stuart Henderson described him as “a player who embodies the spirit of Tavistock AFC, someone who has built a strong connection with the fans and still has plenty left in the tank.”

As he reached his 500th game, Crago spoke to The Moorlander in a special Q&A to reflect on his career and share his favourite memories.
What is your first memory of Tavistock?
My first memory was playing against Tavi when I was a kid playing for Callington. I remember playing in Crowndale.
Do you remember your debut and first goal?
Yes, I made my debut when I was 16 against Witheridge. My first goal was against Exwick Villa, I believe - so long ago now haha.
What has been your best moment in a Tavistock shirt?
Probably winning my first ever trophy with the club - that’s my best memory.
What is your most important goal in a Lambs shirt and also your favourite?
My header against Shepton Mallet in the FA Cup to help us go on our best run ever is the most important, and I will say scoring against Taunton in the FA Cup is my favourite.
What has been your favourite Tavistock shirt to wear?
It’s probably the kit we have now, I would say.
Your favourite off-the-pitch story with the team?
Probably the away trips on the coach - they can have so many good memories with the lads, and I’ve always been blessed with having a good group.
And finally Jack, do you have a message to the fans?
To the fans I just want to say thank you - without you there isn’t Tavistock Football Club. Over all the years you’ve made me feel so welcome. When I came in as a 16-year-old lad, now being 30, I have made so many memories with all of you and I can’t wait to make lots more.
From a teenager making his debut against Witheridge to a 30-year-old stalwart with 500 appearances, Jack Crago’s story is one of commitment and passion.
His goals, trophies and memories have lit up Crowndale, but perhaps most importantly, his bond with the fans has made him a true Tavistock legend.
