Police have confirmed that a woman has been injured after a collision on the A30 near Cheriton Bishop this afternoon.

Officers were called at around 4.15pm following reports of a single-vehicle collision on the westbound stretch of the road, just after Whiddon Down on the edge of Dartmoor.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said “The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing”.

Emergency services attended the scene, and one lane has remained open to keep traffic moving.

Drivers have been warned to expect delays while recovery work takes place.

The incident has caused slow traffic in the area, which is a key route for motorists travelling between Exeter, Okehampton and the northern edge of Dartmoor.

No further details have been released at this stage, and Police say updates will follow if the situation changes.
