Okehampton Hockey Club Girls’ Under-14s were the proud home club in the popular tournament arranged by Devon Hockey in Okehampton at the beginning of the year.

The hockey was to a high standard with eight teams from all over Devon taking part. It was great to see so many girls playing so well and with such enthusiasm on Okehampton's well used all weather pitch, despite wind and rain. In the afternoon, there was a similar tournament for Under-14 boys, equally well attended and good fun was had by all.

On the adult side of the club, Okehampton men’s first team enjoyed an entertaining 3-3 draw with Ocean City 4ths. The two sides remain locked on 19 points at the top of the Men’s Riviera Division 2, although Ocean City have a game in hand.

Oke Women 1sts were made to work hard before recording a 4-3 win at bottom club Newquay 3rds in the West Trelawney Division. Oke are currently sitting fifth in the table, having recorded five wins from their nine games. Next on the menu is a trip to the University of Plymouth before a visit from Camborne at the end of the month.
