The Lambs have announced that Connor Marshall has left his first-team manager position due to increased life commitments

Tavistock AFC are facing another change in the management team after confirming that Connor Marshall has stepped down from his position as first-team manager due to increased life commitments.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the club’s Management Committee this afternoon, which thanked Marshall for his work during his time at Langsford Park.

The statement read: “The club can confirm that Connor Marshall, our First Team Manager, has stepped down from his position due to increased life commitments.

“We would like to place on record our sincere thanks for his hard work, dedication and commitment to the club during his time in charge. His efforts, both on and off the pitch, have been greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

“We fully respect his decision and wish him every success in the future.”

The club also confirmed that Darren “Ravo” Raven and Ryan Elliott will continue to provide leadership and oversight of the team.

They will work alongside the Management Committee, which will maintain oversight and regularly review the arrangements as the season progresses.

The statement added that the club’s focus remains on building stability and working towards a “positive and sustainable future” for the team.

Marshall was appointed in September following the departure of Steve Tully, who had left the manager’s position after a short spell in charge.

Tully’s exit came after a period of change at the club, with caretaker manager Tallan Burns taking charge in the interim before Marshall’s appointment was confirmed.

Marshall arrived from Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police, having previously been involved with Tavistock’s development centre and also worked with Newton Abbot Spurs.

Marshall’s departure means Tavistock must now settle on its management arrangements as the Western League Premier Division season continues.

For now, Raven and Elliott will provide leadership, with the committee confirming that the position will be reviewed regularly.
