Young cricketers took to the pitch for a series of glow-in-the-dark matches at Mount Kelly School in Tavistock on Sunday (November 1).
The Halloween-themed event saw Tavistock Terrors and Tavistock Toads join players from Bridestowe and Belstone Cricket Club for three matches.
Organised by the Devon Cricket Foundation, the event saw the girls play under an eerie glow, using glowsticks, neon bats and luminous cricket balls.

Tavistock Cricket Club described the morning as a “spooktacular” occasion in a post on social media.
The club said: “Under an eerie glow, armed with glowsticks, neon bats and luminous balls, our girls enjoyed a morning of spooky sixes, frighteningly good fielding and some wicked wickets!”
Tavistock Cricket Club also highlighted the enthusiasm of the young players, adding: “There were plenty of screams, laughter and magical moments as our young cricketers lit up the darkness with their enthusiasm and energy.”
Sunday's event brought together young female players from the three clubs for a different take on the game, combining cricket with Halloween-themed activities.
