Police are appealing for witnesses after a local woman in her 60s was killed in a collision on Brewery Lane on Wednesday afternoon

A pedestrian has died following a road traffic collision involving an articulated lorry in Brixham.

Police were called to Brewery Lane at around 3.40pm on Wednesday 21 January after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry.

The pedestrian, a local woman in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

Brewery Lane was closed for a period while officers carried out an investigation at the scene. Police have thanked members of the public for their patience during the closure.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information that may assist the investigation.
