South West Water has confirmed that households affected by the recent water supply disruption should now be back in supply.
The Moorlander understands that bottled water stations and Priority Services Register (PSR) deliveries will remain available until 10pm on Wednesday 23 April, while engineers continue to monitor the network.
South West Water told The Moorlander: "We are pleased to say that customers should now be back in supply. We want to apologise again for the inconvenience this has caused, but we would also like to thank all of our customers for their patience and kindness to our teams on the ground providing bottled water."
Automatic compensation payments are being issued to affected customers.
It is understood that discolouration may be visible in some homes following the repair work. South West Water advises this is normal and should clear after running the cold kitchen tap.
If the water appears milky, this is due to air in the system. Air can become trapped either in the main supply or within household plumbing. Customers still experiencing issues are encouraged to turn the internal stop tap on and off three times while keeping the cold kitchen tap open. They should also check that their external stop tap is open, if safe to do so.
South West Water has reiterated that PSR deliveries will continue and bottled water stations will stay in place until Wednesday night to support any remaining customers in need.
